Its ability to sense and change when going from hardwood floors to carpet was also a great draw card.Unfortunately, Ive been disappointed with it for quite some time. The cord is short. I chose this vacuum to help with our allergies. There are cheaper units on the market, but Dyson Ball Multifloor justifies its price. The combination works well and can reach far under furniture, something the upright cannot do because it's too bulky to fit. It's light weight bar and attachments make it easy to vacuum and I love the slim beater bar for carpets which allows me to get under furniture, in corners, and really do an excellent job. About the only part I didnt like about the DC39 was how you empty the canister itself.
