First impressions is that they are much growlier (or should that be raspier?) last the Thomastik JF 344 strings A -D strings diameter is smaller then normal which feels weird indeed but, the required pressure exerted on the frets is substantially reduced resulting a much cleaner tone and that makes playing with these strings easier and improves playability yet will require some adaptation and getting use too and considering the warm clean tonnage I think its well worth it.
