We were pleasantly surprised by the Sunday Afternoons Ultra Adventure's foldable brim, making it much more durable and packable than the regular Adventure Hat. Both types of hats offer sun protection, the main difference is that cotton hats can also provide some protection from the rain. When the wind picked up, it stayed on our heads, and the brim didn't expose our face by flipping up or limit our vision by flopping in our eyes. If your hat isn't comfortable, it's less likely that you will grab it while going out the door.
